1. Avoid running multiple apps in the background


Usually, apps running in the background tend to consume a lot of data, and battery which causes your smartphones to get hot. The simple way to prevent this by clearing the apps running in the background after finishing your task in that particular app. 

 

2. Avoid using your phone in direct sunlight


Harsh sunlight can cause your smartphones to overheat. Always avoid using your smartphones in direct sunlight and use it in the shade.

 

3. Reduce your screen brightness


When you are using the smartphone in outdoors, reduce the screen brightness. Increased screen brightness can harm your battery life and can also cause your smartphone to overheat. 

 

4. Turn off Bluetooth and GPS when not in use

5. Minimize the usage of battery draining applications

6. Remove the back case

If your device is already hot, remove the back case and place it under the fan or you can also blow cold air, this helps in quicker heat dissipation. Because, back cases and covers tend to trap heat, so consider removing the case when your device is overheated. 

 

7. Update apps frequently and uninstall unused apps

Update your apps frequently. Developers usually fix the existing bugs with the updates. Sometimes, updates can optimize app performance and helps in reducing battery consumption, which in turn can prevent your device from overheating. Removing unwanted applications can help in reducing the clutter in your device, and it can also help you in freeing up some storage and can reduce battery consumption.

 

8. Avoid using your device in low battery

Using smartphones or any electronic device in a low battery can harm devices in the long run. When you are continuously using your smartphone in power saver mode, the performance of your device will deteriorate, and it will affect the battery's health and can cause overheating. 

 

9. Always use original cables

Charge your smartphone with a compatible and original charger cable. Cheap cables can cause your device to overheat as well as it can affect your device in the long run. Avoid charging your smartphone overnight, as this can cause your smartphones to overheat.

 

10. Avoid using your device while charging

It is always advisable to avoid the usage of smartphones while charging. Usually, smartphones tend to heat during charging, and if you are using the smartphone while charging, it can make your device to overheat and can damage your device's health in the longer run.

 

By following these simple steps, you can easily extend your smartphone's life and can also prevent it from overheating.
