The Oneplus CEO Pete Lau announced to the OnePlus community to expect some "impressive updates” for their Oxygen 11 OS very soon. After a couple of Android 11 developer Beta version, they are planning to push out the final developer preview on August 11. At that time, there’s a good chance they will show off lots of new features.
Pete Lau a week ago started hint about introducing always-on display feature with the update to Oxygen OS 11. As it turns out, It might rollout soon as per leaks, and OnePlus might give us even more information in the OnePlus community app.
The CEO said that OxygenOS 11 (Android 11) will introduce “new design elements, as well as some highly anticipated features that OnePlus community have been asking and waiting for.” He Didn't specify what those were but did mention it was based on the OnePlus community from their Open Ears Forums.
OnePlus first confirmed the expected always-on display. At that time, they also hinted about adding folders options to the app drawer, a new Zen Mode version, fingerprint security in the gallery for hidden pictures, and more. Its also expected to bring the dark theme toggle to the Quick Settings menu in Android 11, which is another feature OnePlus told it is coming.
